Vision loss is one of the most common concerns of older people today. There's help available, but it's not always easy to know where to get it. The National Federation of the Blind can offer some help. They have something called a "Low Vision Resource Kit for Seniors" that includes
- An application to hear newspapers read over the telephone
- Writing pads with bold lines
- A large-print deck of cards
- A large-print ruler
- Self-threading needles and needle threader
- Large-print ruler
- Literature about low vision
- Catolog in print and on tape of other product from the National Federation of the Blind
- An introductory newsletter for seniors who are blind
