Preventative & Diagnostic ServicesUsing state-of-the-art equipment, Community Health Partners provides a broad range of diagnostic testing procedures. In addition to standard diagnostic tests, such as EKG and Holter monitoring, the Heart Institute at Community Health Partners provides:
- Echocardiogram (ECHO)-views ultrasonic images of the heart to evaluate heart function, cardiac valves, and blood flow.
- Transesophogeal Echocardiography (TEE)-provides additional images of the heart to further evaluate heart function and valves.
- Nuclear Cardiology/Stress Testing-allows imaging of the heart to determine if coronary blockage is present and to assess heart muscle functions.
- Carotid Duplex Testing-evaluates carotid artery circulation.
- Peripheral Vascular Testing (PVR)-tests for circulation in the legs.
Emergency Chest Pain UnitA dedicated chest pain unit is part of the emergency services department at Community Health Partners. When you arrive at the Emergency Room with chest pain or heart attack symptoms, you receive prompt attention, immediate cardiac monitoring, and rapid assessment of your condition. Our chest pain unit, which operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, offers the latest treatments for those who are having a heart attack, including "clot-busting" drugs, as well as emergency interventional cardiac catheterization. The Emergency Room physician works closely with the cardiologists on staff at the hospital to ensure that you receive the best emergency cardiac care possible.
