The LPN staff nurses in the Emergency Department functions under the direction of the RN and is responsible for observation and patient care of the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. Contributes to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Reinforces patient teaching. Coordinates patient care activities with staff, physicians and other departments. Maintains current knowledge of health care issues and nursing practice. Promotes the institution's philosophy, mission, and values during all interactions with patients, families, staff and others.

Educational
Requirements: |
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current Ohio license, medication administration capability. Demonstrated ability to function in emergency situations. BCLS and IV certifications required. BTLS and PALS certification preferred. ACLS course audited preferred.
