Renal Vein Rennin

Procedure Time

Purpose
To obtain blood samples above and below renal veins for lab chemistry

Procedure

  • Patient is taken to IPU for shave, Prep, IV and labs drawn. Patient is then sent to Special Procedures.
  • Radiologist will discuss procedure with patient and answer any questions.
  • Patient is then placed on table, and prepped for procedure.
  • Radiologist will perform a venous access and catheter introduced and advanced up to Renal veins where blood samples will be drawn in various areas.
