In fact, the goal of our country's healthcare system needs to be enhancing the quality of patient care. This means patients must have accurate and thorough information in order to choose where they want to receive their healthcare.

Healthcare providers also must be able to share information with standardized information technology. We are incorporating Electronic Health Records, or EHR, into our hospitals to improve process efficiency and enhance patient safety.
