The Radiology Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Radiology Department. The Manager also is responsible for coordination of Quality Monitoring related to Radiology testing within the hospital and all free standing facilities affiliated with the hospital. The Manager works under the supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Services. Specific responsibilities of the Manager will be defined by the Director and will include: the maintenance of all state and federal regulatory requirements and the coordination of all inspections ; assisting with oversight of department’s day to day operations; planning and development of new procedures; departmental QA; education and development of staff; clinical project management; Budgetary Management: monitoring of daily expenses, responding to budgetary variances, monitoring staff productivity, oversight of payroll and development of annual budget; and staff supervision and scheduling. The Manager will monitor the department’s performance and quality while ensuring that the appropriate development, interpretation and implementation of the Health Center’s policies and procedures are in place. The Manager witnesses the hospital philosophy by respecting the uniqueness and dignity of each person and by implementing the values of justice and compassion in all professional interactions. The Manager promotes a positive attitude toward fellow workers, responding in a timely basis to requests for information and assistance, and promoting a collaborative work environment. Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of Radiology by reading appropriate journals and other literature and attending related conferences, seminars and the like. Holds a current State of Ohio Radiology Technologist license and/or an equivalent certificate in one or more areas of Radiology Services. Participates in organizational and departmental quality assessment and improvement activities. Complies with safety practice issues related to own responsibilities and those of co-workers as described in OSHA regulations. Exhibits strong communication and organization skills. A graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist school and has 4 years clinical experience in 2 or more modalities of Radiology. Has a working knowledge of government regulations and JCAHO standards for areas of responsibility. Supervisory experience preferred which included oversight of clinical staff and departmental budgets. Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
