AQUATICS

Our pools and programs have made a big splash, with recognition as one of the best in the world by the Aquatic Exercise Association. The AEA, which sets the standard in excellence for aquatic exercise worldwide, has recognized the HealthPlex as a Gold Level Aquatic Fitness Facility.
 
We offer a wide variety of programs to help increase your fitness level as well as programs that teach you new, lifelong skills such as our Learn-To-Swim Program.
 
 
 
Monthly Whirlpool Closings (5:30-11am):
January 8, February 12, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 20, September 17, October 8, November 12, December 10
 
LAP POOL CLOSING - August 13 - September 7
The Lap Pool is closed August 13 – September 7 to allow us to replace the heating and cooling systems.  The Therapy Pool will remain open most days throughout this period, but may need to close occasionally for safety reasons.  If you would like to be notified of pool closings, please leave your name and phone number with the lifeguard or your fitness instructor and we will call you prior to closing the therapy pool.  Click here for more information.
 


NEW AQUATIC FITNESS CLASSES!

The HealthPlex Aquatic Arthritis classes are a huge success!  Due to increased attendance, we have added 5 new class times:  Arthritis Plus on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:00am and Wednesday and Friday at 11:00am.
 
FLUID MIND BODY
Our warm water pool is the perfect place to experience aquatic versions of yoga, Pilates and Tai chi. These sessions focus on continuous flowing movements to help you achieve strength, flexibility and stress relief. See the Aquatic schedule for days and times.
 
MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS CLASS
This class is designed to help those with MS improve their stride, posture, core strength, and flexibility, as well as working to improve activities of daily life through aquatic exercises. For more information call, 603-8459.  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:00pm.
 
 
From the post-rehab patient to the elite athlete, Aquatic Personal Training is your new way to conquer your personal fitness challenges. Experience functional and sports-specific training in every angle, plan or speed imaginable! This equipment-enhanced session will allow you to assess your goals with a certified personal trainer in one of the top aquatic fitness centers in the world as recognized by the Aquatic Exercise Association in 2003. Cost of Aquatic Personal Training
30-minute session:  $31 for Members, $41 for Non-Members
60-minute session:  $51 for Members, $61 for Non-Members
10-Pack of 30-minute sessions:  $280 for Members, $330 for Non-Members
10-Pack of 60-minute sessions:  $460 for Members, $560 for Non-Members
 

Resistance without the impact.  If your regular "land" workout is causing pain, then try including HydroTone in your workout routine for better, well-rounded training. Specially designed equipment is used to maximize resistance in all dimensions of movement without impact. Professional athletes, including the Dallas Cowboys, recognize the benefit of HydroTone and so will you. The equipment is now available anytime to current session participants. Taught by a certified aquatic personal trainer, the class is limited to eight participants.

HYDRORIDER
Have you every tried spinning....in the water? Hydrorider is perfect for all fitness levels, from post-rehab to the most accomplished athlete. Morning and evening classes are available. See the aquatic fitness schedule for days and times.  Space is limited, reserve your bike at the Service Desk or call 682-1212.  Free for Members!
 
Shorts recommended. Aqua shoes required.
 
HYDRORIDER PLUS
Discover the amazing cross training benefits provided by cycling classes in the water. Plus, challenge your fitness abilities with an energetic blend of cardio and strength training using both drag and resistance equipment. Come prepared for a super-sized workout in the pool! Aquatic prenatal exercise offers fitness for two! It's the ideal exercise program for the mom-to-be. This class can help you lessen your labor time, prepare your newborn for the stress of labor and delivery and get you back to your pre-pregnancy weight quicker. An added bonus is the fun of socializing with other expectant moms. A physician's consent form is required before attending the first class. Must register each month at the Service Desk or call 682-1212.  Water shoes recommended.  Free for Members!
 
Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm

 
KAYAK ROLLING
Brush up on your kayak rolling skills or just enjoy kayaking indoors during the long winter months.  This is an open session for members and nonmembers.  You can drop in or sign up for an 8-week session.  Contact Henry Dorfman at 513-594-1439 (you must dial the area code) or by email at moonpaddle@yahoo.com for more information.
