Mercy Young Leaders

Mercy Young Leaders (MYL) is an organization of people ages 21 to 40 who help promote and raise funds for the good work that Mercy Franciscan at St. John does in the community.  Mercy Young Leaders’ activities are focused on volunteer and social fundraising activities that help engage the community and provide an opportunity to network with other young leaders and professionals.

Mercy Franciscan at St. John is a social service agency located in Over-the-Rhine.  In 2008, the agency served more than 5,312 people.

Activities
Mercy Young Leaders volunteer at a number of activities that range from the annual holiday gift wrapping of Christmas presents for need families; food, clothing and toy drives; helping with youth programs; and volunteering through the Mercy Franciscan at St. John annual Summer in the City celebration.

Mercy Young Leaders hold an annual fundraiser, Friday Night Lights, to support critically important programs that St. John provides to the community, such as youth development, crises management and financial support.  The event takes place at Paul Brown Stadium, with food, drinks, live music, silent auction and plenty of fun.  Last year the event drew more than 200 guests to help raise funds for St. John.
