Our Services
The Center for Women’s Health at Mercy Hospital Anderson coordinates a full continuum of breast and bone health services and programs including health promotion and wellness, screenings (such as mammography) diagnosis, education, support groups, referral for treatment and coordination of care.
The Center for Women's Health offers superb quality care for the screening and diagnosis of all breast problems. Equipped with advanced technology and staffed by an experienced team of physicians, nurses and technologists, The Center provides you with the latest and most innovative procedures available, including:
- Routine screening mammography (if your previous mammogram was performed at another facility, please have your films (x-rays) sent to The Women's Center at the address listed below prior to your appointment.)
- Education in breast self-exam
- Diagnostic mammography
- Ultrasound
- Ultrasound-guided core biopsy & fine needle aspiration
- Sterotactic core biopsy
- Preop needle localization
- Outside film consultation/review
- Coordination of care for the newly-diagnosed breast cancer patient
- Full range of medical treatment options for breast cancer patients (available through the Cancer Care Department at Mercy Anderson.)
Every mammogram is independently read by a dedicated breast radiologist who utilizes the R2 checker, the latest technology, to aid in early detection.
In addition to breast care, the Center also offers services to screen for osteoporosis:
- Sahara heel bone density screening
- DEXA bone density scanning

Breast Cancer Support Groups
1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at The Women's Center at Anderson.

1st Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the Women's Center at Anderson and the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Mercy HealthPlex at Fairfield.
