Mercy Outpatient Rehabilitation and Therapy - Driver Education and Training
The Driver Evaluation and Training Program provides an objective, comprehensive assessment of a person's ability to drive safely. Occupational therapists who are state-certified driving instructors and are handicapped-endorsed, perform a number of tests to assess functional range of motion, strength, coordination, vision, reaction time, problem-solving ability, safety, decision-making and memory.
The therapists also conduct testing with a simulator, an off-road course and an on-the-road course. To participate, you must have a current Ohio driver's license and a doctor's prescription.
