The Outpatient Rehabilitation and Therapy Team at Mercy Hospital Fairfield
 
Kristina D., DPT, CLT
 
Kristina graduated from the University of Georgia with her Bachelors in Education and later from the University of Saint Augustine in 2005 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Kristina leads the customer service team for Mercy Fairfield Rehabilitation. She is an APTA-certified clinical instructor and a certified lymphedema therapist.
 
 
Sandy G., PT
 
Sandy transitioned into the physical therapy profession after working as a system analyst for Xerox for over ten years. She received her physical therapy training at the University of Tennessee--Chattanooga in 1998. Sandy is our clinical education coordinator, leads the growth team and is an active member of the customer service and peer interview teams for our department. Sandy has a special interest in treating patients that suffer from Parkinson's disease and vestibular disorders.
 
 
Theresa K., MSPT
 
Theresa received her physical therapy training from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Theresa is considered an expert in manual therapy and muscle energy techniques of the spine, evaluating and treating muscle imbalances
 
 
Joyce H., PT
 
Joyce received her physical therapy training from the University of Cincinnati in 2001 and joined Mercy's rehabilitation team in 2006. Joyce employs a manual approach with her patients including myofascial release, positional release and craniosacral therapy. She has received advanced training in total motion release techniques and mat pilates and often includes these exercises in her treatment plans. Joyce is a growth team member for our department.
 
 
Taryn W., PT
 
Taryn graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. in Applied Health Science in 2002 and earned her Masters in physical therapy from The Ohio State University in 2004. She has worked for Mercy Fairfield since her graduation and is a member of the program development team. Taryn works with the elite gymnasts at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy, providing injury prevention treatments and physical therapy interventions following surgery. Taryn has advanced training in the treatment of wounds and lymphedema.
 
 
Jeremy H., MPT
 
Jeremy is a Miami University graduate earning a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2003. He then attended The College of Mount St. Joseph for his Masters in physical therapy. Jeremy has worked for Mercy Fairfield since his graduation, taking special interest in sports medicine and orthopedic injuries. He has acted as a clinical instructor for multiple students and is the coordinator of linens for our department.
 
 
Maureen K., OTR/L
 
Maureen graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1988 with a BS in Occupational Therapy. She specializes in neurorehabilitation with advanced training in the neurodevelopment technique. She is involved in the development in new patient programs, staff education and is an active clinical instructor.
 
 
Kevin G., OTR/L
 
Kevin has over 19 years of experience in occupational therapy, graduating with honors from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 1988. Kevin has a special interest in ergonomics, injury prevention, functional capacity evaluations and hand therapy. He worked as a manager in a Worker Rehab program in Flint, Michigan prior to moving to this area to work for Mercy.
 
 
Wes G., CCC-SLP
 
Wes has worked for Mercy since his graduation from the University of Cincinnati in 2003 where he earned his Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. Wes has multiple clinical specialty areas including oropharyngeal swallowing disorders/dysphagia; deep pharyngeal neuromuscular stimulation; Lee Silverman voice therapy; post-laryngectomy voice restoration; memory/cognitive deficits; and speech, voice and aphasia rehabilitation.
 
 
Jenni L., PT
 
Jenni graduated from St. Louis University in 1989 and joined Mercy Fairfield's rehab team in 2005. Jenni is a certified pilates instructor and has a special interest in aquatic therapy and pelvic floor dysfunctions.
 
 
Tami D., PT
 
Tami earned her physical therapy degree from The Ohio State University in 1990. Tami is highly skilled in the manual treatment of spinal injuries. With a certification in personal training, Tami has a special interest in treating sports injuries and is involved in the treatment of elite athletes that train at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy. She is also skilled in craniosacral techniques.
 
 
Justin J., PTA
 
Justin graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati with an Associate of Applied Science degree and a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences with an emphasis in sports and biomechanics. He is currently seeking his Doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Dayton. Justin is an APTA member with membership in acute care, orthopedic, research and sports physical therapy sections.

Christy B., MPT
 
Christy graduated from The College of Mount St. Joseph in 2006 with her Masters in Physical Therapy and a minor in biology. She has worked for Mercy since her graduation seeing patients in both the acute inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic settings. Christy is a member of the Clinical Enhancement team for the rehab department and has a special interest in women's health diagnoses. She is an APTA-certified clinical instructor.

Kristin S., MPT
 
Kristin graduated from St. Louis University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and her Masters in Physical Therapy in 1998. She has worked for Mercy Fairfield since 2006 in the outpatient setting and help to establish a women's health program for the rehab department. Kristin has advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor disorders and treats women who experience urinary incontinence, pelvic floor pain and other pelvic floor dysfunction. Kristin is a certified perinatal fitness instructor. She is a member of the program development and growth teams for the department.

Melanie S., MSPT
 
Melanie graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1994 with a B.S. in Biology and received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 1996. She has been with Mercy Fairfield since 1998, specializing in the manual treatment of the spine. She is also a certified lymphedema therapist and heads our lymphedema program. In addition, Melanie is an active member of the program development team within our department.
