Renee S., SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
Renee has worked for Mercy Hospital since her graduation from University of Cincinnati in June 2009 with a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.  Renee completed her medical rotation as a graduate student at Mercy Hospital Fairfield.  Renee enjoys treating inpatients and outpatients.  Renee assists adults who have speech/language/memory impairments from Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Degenerative Disease, and many more.  Renee’s clinical specialties include the following:  oropharyngeal dysphagia, memory/cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, speech, voice, and aphasia rehabilitation.  Renee also enjoys treating children as outpatients who have articulation and or language disorders.  She collaborates with parents to incorporate their goals and/or child’s IEP goals and provides parents with take-home activities that target/stimulate their child’s speech and/or language skills.

She has many clinical specialty areas including oropharyngeal dysphagia, neuromuscular electrical stimulation treatment for dysphagia, memory and cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, as well as speech, voice, and aphasia rehabilitation.
