In less than one year, Mercy Healthy Weight Solutions has already performed its 100th bariatric surgery.

Mercy Healthy Weight Solutions has been assisting individuals since early 2008.  The program’s wide range of services includes both surgical and non-surgical weight loss options – including nutrition, counseling, and fitness – as well as a six month membership to the Mercy HealthPlex (Fairfield, Anderson and Western Hills) and a Wellness Coach to facilitate their fitness plan.   Mercy Healthy Weight Solutions intends to be the individual’s lifelong partner in their journey toward maintaining a healthy weight.

Obesity rates in the United States continue to rise, and with them are increased risks for serious conditions such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and sleep apnea.  Fortunately, many of these health risks can be addressed and even eliminated through healthy weight loss.  “The health effects of massive weight loss are dramatic,” explains Dr. C.
