Local physician, center to host free lecture on childhood vaccines and H1N1

10/29/2009     --

Dr. Andrew Ache of Mercy Medical Associates – Georgetown Family Medicine in conjunction with the Pregnancy Resource Center will present a free lecture to help parents understand childhood vaccines. The lecture will include a discussion on H1N1 and children.

“Over the past few years there has been new, and often confusing, information regarding childhood vaccinations,” explains Dr. Ache, who is board certified in family medicine, “and during this lecture we hope to eliminate some of the confusion so parents can make informed decisions regarding their child’s health.”

Dr. Ache will devote time during the lecture on the H1N1 flu, originally known as swine flu, and share tips on how to help your children avoid this unique strain of flu.

The lecture will be held on Wednesday, November 4 at 7 p.m. at the Ohio Veterans Home, 2003 Veterans Blvd., Georgetown. The lecture is free but seating is limited so please register by calling 937-378-6853.
