Located on Millville Avenue, Mercy Franciscan at Schroder offers a great sense of Hamilton pride with its friendly staff and community involvement. Upon entering Schroder, the great room provides a uniquely-styled setting, complete with fireplace and cozy chairs. Whether they are hosting a community choir, entertaining with their annual holiday extravaganza or fundraising with their yearly yard sale, the staff and residents of MFS are excited to welcome you to their family.

Nursing Care
Our nursing area is designed for those who need assistance with several daily living activities. Residents receive professional, compassionate nursing care in private and semi-private rooms.

Assisted Living

Independent Living Cottages
Cottages include two bedrooms and two baths for those who can live independently, but who want to be steps away from activities and support. For a reasonable monthly fee, our services include:

- Lawncare
- Maintenance-free exteriors
Demential/Alzheimer's Care
We provide assistance and living opportunities to those with dementia and/or Alzheimer's though specialized activities within a secure and supported environment.
The peaceful atmosphere helps residents feel at ease. Services include:
- Care by licensed nurses and state-tested nursing assistants
- Daily social eventprograms
- Three healthy, delicious meals a day
Respite Care
Respite care is provided in furnished, private rooms for short stays when family members or other caregivers are away. Respite care is also a way to get to know our service and compassion first-hand. Services include assistance with medication, bathing and dressing, if needed; three meals a day; weekly laundry and housekeeping service and all utilities including telephone and cable TV.

Rehabilitation Services
Mercy's long-term care facilities offer on-site, comprehensive rehabilitative services. We provide physical, occupational and speech therapy to help our clients restore and maximize their activity levels and their quality of life.
Inpatient Care
We provide short-term inpatient services for people who been discharged from the hospital, but who are not yet ready to return home. Working with the nursing and social services staff, we help the individual and family determine a plan of care that enables an appropriate and safe return home.
Outpatient Services
We provide outpatient services with a one-on-one approach, where the individual is the focus.

There are angels at Mercy - they are the volunteers who give their time and their talent to support the residents at Schroder. From the Gift Shop to the activity areas, the smiles and dedication of our volunteers cheer the souls of residents, staff and visitors.
