Family and Friends
Family and friends are welcome to visit their loved one during their stay at St. Rita's Medical Center. We recognize that seeing the smiling face of a family member or friend is helpful in the recovery process. However, too many visitors can be tiresome for the patient. Please keep your visit brief so the patient can get adequate rest. Waiting areas are available near all patient care areas.
Our general visiting hours are 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. except for designated areas. An adult must accompany children at all times. Visitors who are ill or not feeling well should wait until they feel better before visiting.
Visiting hours for Addiction Services, Adult Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry vary from unit-to-unit. Please check with the nurse to determine an appropriate time to visit.
Critical Care Areas
Cardiovascular Intensive Care, ICU, Stepdown & Special Care Nursery Critically ill or injured patients in these units are receiving specialized care; therefore, visitors are limited to immediate family members only. Please keep visits to just 15 minutes per one-hour period with a maximum of two people per visit. If an emergency occurs with the patient, you may be asked to leave the room. The nurse will notify you when you may resume visiting.
