Established in 1999, the Mercy Foundation exists to support the continued healing ministry of Jesus, as establish by the Sisters of Mercy. As leaders in this partnership of caring and assisting the poor and the under-served in our community, Mercy Health Partners encourages the support and involvement of individuals, corporations, foundations and associations in this ministry of healing to all in need. Your support of the Mercy Foundation will ensure continued medical excellence and enrich the health of our community.
Mercy Health Partners consists of Mercy Hospital, Scranton; Mercy Special Care Hospital, Nanticoke; and regional programs which support the health and well-being of the community such as Mercy Home Health and Hospice, HealthSPAN and numerous other cooperative programs.
Mercy Foundation encourages philanthropic support from the community and provides funds for programs, equipment, facilities and needs of Mercy Health Partners. The Foundation also supports outside organizations and associations working to improve the health of our community. Gifts of bequests, memorial donations, general operating support, grants and capital equipment are encouraged. Contributions to Mercy Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
