What is Community Mercy Hospice?

Community Mercy Hospice is a physician-directed program that addresses the medical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of the terminally ill and their families.

Hospice care is primarily provided in the patients' residence by a team of healthcare professionals, clergy and volunteers who actively involve family and friends in their loved one's care.

Hospice aims to enrich the patient's remaining months of life, emphasizing control of pain and symptoms in the warmth and familiarity of home, surrounded by the comfort of family and friends.

Support from the hospice team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week — and hospice care continues after the patient's death, through family bereavement.

Community Mercy Hospice is licensed by the State of Ohio and certified by Medicare. A wide range of program services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and other health insurance plans. It is also accredited by The Joint Commission.
