The Birthing Center at Springfield Regional Medical Center includes:
- An ultra-modern, Level II facility with state-of-the-art labor/ delivery /recovery/ post-partum (LDRP) suites equipped for both routine and high-risk births.
- The nursery is staffed round-the-clock by physicians who specialize in newborn care (neonatologist). These physicians care for premature and other high-risk infants right here in Springfield, Ohio.
- A perinatologist who is providing an array of sophisticated services for high-risk maternity patients.
- An experienced nursing staff in labor and delivery, newborn and post-parturn care.
- Designated surgical facilities located within the Birthing Center, for Caesarean deliveries.
- Post-discharge follow-up programs and procedures.
- A continuum of childbirth education classes.
