Experience: Previous 6 months experience in ultrasound technology (sonography). Preferred experience in radiologic technology, CT, MRI, or interventional radiology. Licensure: ARDMS certification in two areas (OB/GYN, Abdominal, Vascular). Preferred ARRT Registered, Ohio Licensed radiographer, Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR certified. Skills: Outstanding customer service skills. Communication skills. Critical thinking/analytical skills. Basic computer skills. Magnet safety. Radiation safety. Infection control and sterile procedure. Maintains knowledge of Sonography (and a general knowledge of CT, MRI, interventional radiology, and radiologic technology) through the reading of professional journals, seminars, and inservices. |
Educational
Requirements: |
Graduate of a sonography program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education (CHEA) or the United States Dept. of Education (USDOE) or equivalent clinical training plus courses in ultrasound technology. Preferred graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Preferred clinical training or on-the-job training in computed tomography (CT) and/or magnetic resonance imaging in addition to radiologic technology. Maintains continuing education credits to meet licensure requirements. |
