Experience:Five to ten years relevant paralegal experience or 1-3 years experience for JD candidate, preferably in health care with some knowledge of federal regulatory environment preferred.Skills:Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, analytical and organizational skills. High levels of initiative, flexibility, independence and team orientation. Ability to handle confidential matters and address conflict. Strong verbal/written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to work independently and to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. The ability and willingness to identify with, share in, and have a commitment to the philosophy, mission, values and vision of Community Mercy Health Partners and our Sponsors. Must attain strong understanding of federal laws and regulations governing health care transactions, including but not limited to the following: Stark, Anti-Kickback Statute, Fraud and Abuse, Office of Inspector General Civil Monetary Penalty, Private Inurnment and Intermediate Sanctions and regulations, and remains knowledgeable of these rules and regulations and effectively leverages all available resources. Must be flexible in a changing environment. |
Educational
Requirements: |
Bachelors degree preferred and/or paralegal certificate or JD from an ABA -accredited law school. |
