The Diabetes Management Center

Providing those with diabetes the knowledge to prevent the
complications of diabetes and live a healthful life.

In keeping with the mission of St. Mary's to enhance the quality of life in a Christian atmosphere, the Diabetes Management Center believes that knowledge of diabetes is an integral part of successful diabetes management, thus preventing and reducing the effects of diabetic complications.

We believe that every person with diabetes is unique, and we are committed to the development of an individualized plan which meets the needs of each person. We strive to provide ready access to our programs for all those in the community by offering group classes in Knoxville and Jefferson City.

Our staff consists of a program director, a database coordinator, a registered nurse educator, and registered dietitians. Our diabetes staff specializes in diabetes education so they are sensitive to the special needs of someone with diabetes and their families. Our program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association for meeting all national standards.
