What can I expect during and after
an HBOT treatment?

Hyperbaric treatments are two hours long, and are performed on a daily basis, for six days per week. The necessary number of treatments are decided on an individual basis, but typically four to seven weeks of treatments are required for the desired healing to occur.

Before each treatment, you will change into a cotton uniform provided by the staff. Your vital signs will be measured, and you will be evaluated by our on-site physician. You will then enter the chamber and sit down. A trained hyberbaric technician will assist you, and will remain in the chamber throughout the session.

As the treatment begins and the chamber pressurizes, you may notice a "popping" or fullness in your ears as your body adjusts to the changes. The chamber will also get warmer, but never to the point of being uncomfortable. When the treatment pressure is reached, you will be asked to put on your head gear. You can then sit back and relax, read, nap or watch a movie on the widescreen television.

At the end of the treatment, the pressure in the chamber decreases and the air becomes cooler. When the session has concluded, you will change back into your clothes and your headgear and cotton uniform will be cleaned and stored for your next treatment.

After your treatment you will probably feel invigorated or have increased energy. You are free to go about your daily routine as normal.
