Wound Healing Center

St. Mary's Wound Healing Center is an outpatient department committed to the successful treatment and prevention of chronic, non-healing wounds. Our wound healing team consists of physicians and nurses committed to providing comprehensive care that reflects the most current treatments available for chronic wounds.

People that come to St. Mary's Wound Healing Center have a variety of wounds. Some examples are:

• Non-healing wounds for more than six weeks duration
  
• Wounds that recur after healing
  
• Diabetic foot and ankle wounds
  
• Venous stasis ulcers
  
• Ischemic ulcers
  
• Pressure ulcers
  
• Other causes such as bites, infections, arthritis, etc.

What to expect when coming to the Wound Healing Center:

• Detailed history of your wound and your current health status.
  
• Comprehensive wound evaluation, education regarding the cause of your wound, how to care for your wound, and how to recognize early warning signs of complications.
  
• Follow-up visits until wound is completely healed.
