Because our goal at Mercy is to make our hospitals excellent places for you to practice medicine, the Mercy Service Pledge has been designed to deliver outstanding quality, enhanced service and efficient operations through a series of process improvement commitments. We are pleased to roll out this unique initiative with our first pledges, Dianostic Testing and Surgery.
Diagnostic Testing

An appointment will be available to patients within two business days of request for routine, scheduled, diagnostic tests.
This pledge includes:
- Radiology - CT, MRI, diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, X-ray
- Nuclear Medicine
- Cardiac diagnostics
- Vascular diagnostics
| - Laboratory - sweat chloride test, lactose tolerance test, glucose tolerance test, D-Xylose test, secretin test, paternity test
Note: Most routine labs are walk-in and do not require an appointment. |
Easy Access to Results
Inpatient and outpatient test results will be available on MercyNet, our physicians' portal. The portal is a highly convenient way to securely access information using your existing Internet Explorer browser.

Results in 24 Hours
Test results will also be available by fax within 24 hours. Receiving hard copies via mail or courier cannot be assured in that timeframe.

Surgery
We Pledge...
From wound closure of one patient to incision of the next, our operating suites will be turned around in the following times*:- Major Cases: 30 minutes or less
- Minor Cases: 15 minutes or less
*Excludes surgeries utilizing the daVinci robotic system
