One Standard. One Spirit. One Name.
TOLEDO, Ohio – It’s a brighter day for healthcare in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan – and it begins with Mercy! Starting today, Mercy Health Partners will be known simply as Mercy. This reflects a promise to patients that when they come to a Mercy facility they can expect one standard of service excellence, one common spirit of compassion and giving, under one name – Mercy.
“This connected approach results in tremendous benefits for our patients and for our communities,” said Steven L. Mickus, President and CEO of Mercy. “We are very fortunate to have a closely knit network of hospitals, facilities and services here in Northwest Ohio. We are accustomed to harnessing the technology and teamwork of that system to provide leading edge healthcare services.”
Under the new brand identity, Mercy hospitals and services will feature a name change to emphasize “Mercy”, promoting one standard experience no matter where they are in the Mercy system.
Hospital names:
- St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center will become Mercy St. Vincent
- St. Anne Mercy Hospital will become Mercy St. Anne
- St. Charles Mercy Hospital will become Mercy St. Charles
- St. Vincent Children’s will become Mercy Children’s
- Rural facilities will include Mercy Tiffin, Mercy Willard and Mercy Hospital of Defiance
By promising to give patients the best, most personal care, Mercy remains committed to the mission of providing patients the highest level of quality and compassion unmatched by others.
Whether it’s in the state-of-the-art Mercy Cancer Centers at St. Anne and St. Charles, or at Mercy Heart & Vascular Center, or at any one of the Mercy hospitals in Toledo, Oregon, Defiance, Tiffin or Willard, one standard of excellence and one spirit of compassion is shared by all.
“By putting all of our operations under one name will allow us to tell our story even better to the community and to share even more the Mercy mission and purpose of why we do what we do-- to provide the best, most personal care to all who seek healthcare at a Mercy facility,” Mr. Mickus said.
