Services Offered
- Acute injury/illness emergency care in our occupational health departments during office hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as coordinating care with the corresponding hospital Emergency Centers, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
- Industrial injury/illness follow-up care, including 24 hour case management; prompt reporting for compensation claims; continuing treatment for appropriate return to work plans; and ancillary services, such as lab, x-ray, and pharmacy.
- Pre-placement, periodic, return-to-work, and executive physicals.
- Independent medical evaluations, clarifying causes of conditions and degrees of functional impairment or ability to work.
- DOT physicals and school bus driver physicals.
- Comprehensive drug and alcohol testing, including urine drug screening, hair analysis and instant testing; breath alcohol screening performed on DOT-approved instruments. Drug and alcohol testing performed by certified and trained technicians, 24 hours per day. Certified MRO and Drug-Free Workplace program and educational services provided. MOHS is also a primary drug-screen collection site for the GLCA/MOST program for area contractors.
- Work conditoning and work hardening.
- Health risk analyses.
- OSHA medical surveillance exams for detecting exposure to hazardous materials.
- Respirator physicals; audiometric screening; vision testing; and pulmonary function testing.
- Work site evaluations and education.
- Work site health center assistance, providing on-site physicians or nurses for staffing a health center or the provision of on-site flu shots and other health services.
- Travel Health Center Program, provision of appropriate vaccinations and health contingencies for workers traveling overseas.
- USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services): Registered Civil Surgeons perform medical examinations of aliens seeking adjustment of status - required testing and immunization available.
- Referral to various Mercy Specialty Care services, including physical and occupational therapies; special trauma care units, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
