St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center is pleased it has been recognized by the Premier Healthcare Alliance with the 2007 Premier Award for Quality for excellence in the care of patients with heart failure. St. Vincent is one of only 12 hospitals nationwide and the only hospital in Ohio to receive this distinction for heart failure care.

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) recognized St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center as a best practice model for its medication reconciliation program, which accurately ensures that all medications a patient is taking, both prescription and over the counter, are safe. As a result of the recognition, JCAHO profiled St. Vincent and Mercy Children's Hopsital in its "Focus on Medication Reconciliation" educational program, which was broadcast over its Satellite Network, to which more than 700 hospitals throughout the country subscribe.

Mercy Health Partners is pleased to have been named one of the nation's Most Wired Health Systems by Hospitals & Health Networks the journal of the American Hospital Association, which conducts the Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study annually. Mercy is recognized for being one of only 100 hospitals and health systems in the nation and the only one in Northwest Ohio who are using information technology systems throughout all facets of healthcare: quality, customer service, public health and safety, business processes and workforce issues.

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education recently awarded a five year accreditation to Mercy Health Partners' teaching hospitals (St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and St. Charles Mercy Hospital) and commended Mercy Health Partners Graduate Medical Education for its "Best Practices". This places MHP as one of the top ranking institutions for GME (Graduate Medical Education) quality and is a testimony to its standards of excellence for graduate medical education.
