Everyone associated with the Mercy St. Charles Hospital Foundation understands that overcoming life's little barriers may require assistance at times. Thanks to the helping hands of Foundation donors and volunteers, persons of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds can trust that they will be heard and treated in good faith by the caring professionals at Mercy St. Charles Hospital.
Unrestricted gifts to the Foundation offer Mercy St. Charles Hospital resources to fund projects not covered by specific funds or endowments, as well as the flexibility to identify and address new areas of need.
Additional funds supported by the Foundation include:
A.C. Mahajan Endowment Fund
Supports variety of programs to enhance patient care and scholarships for students pursuing careers in the health care industry.
Catherine McAuley Fund
Supplements underserved patients' ability to pay for neccessary medical services.
Khan Psychiatric Patient Fund
Supports patients under psychiatric care without means to pay for prescription drugs and other treatment needs.
Mobile Health Van Endowment Fund
Offsets costs of mobile health van services on a year-round basis.
Shapiro Patient Care Endowment Fund
Supplements patients' ability to cover necessary health care costs.
Sr. Phyllis Ann Gerold Endowment Fund
Benefits cancer patients who are unable to pay for treatment and ancillary services.
St. Charles Family Fund
Assists families of Mercy St. Charles Hospital employees, medical staff, retirees and volunteers who have suffered tragic circumstances.
St. Charles Memorial Garden
Provides peaceful outdoor setting with comfortable benches surrounded by ornamental trees, colorful flowers and brilliant plants.
St. Charles Nursing Resource Center
Enhances up-to-date offerings of research and educational materials for nursing staff.
St. Charles Mercy Youth Health Fund
Supports school health initiatives and head lice detection and treatment.
