You can make a Commemorative Gift of any kind online using a credit card, via US Mail using the printable Gift Giving Form, or by contacting one of our staff members by phone or email. When making a Commemorative Gift you will receive acknowledgement of your gift and the individual you are honoring, or their family, will receive notice of your thoughtfulness (the amount of the gift will be kept confidential.)

MEMORIAL GIFTS--When a loved one or friend dies you may wish to make a contribution in his or her memory. These gifts thoughtfully express your love and respect, while also fulfilling the mission of Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Families often wish to recognize the care provided by the staff in a particular unit at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and Memorial Gifts are a wonderful way of saying thank you for the care given to an ill or injured loved one. Memorial Gifts also offer bereaved families the opportunity to invite others to make contributions in memory of the deceased. This notice normally appears in the local newspaper using the words, “In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy St. Vincent Foundation to benefit the programs and services of the Medical Center.” Memorial Gifts can made at any time – in recognition of a deceased loved one’s birthday, anniversary or other special occasion.

GIFTS IN HONOR—Making a gift in someone’s honor is an excellent way of paying tribute to someone special while also making a gift to an organization that continues a legacy of helping and improving lives. These special gifts are popular for celebrating a happy occasion like a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, or simply to say “I love you.” When someone is not feeling well, it helps to know others are thinking of him or her as well. Regardless of the size of your gift, the feelings it expresses will touch the hearts of those honored while contributing to a meaningful and lasting cause.

NURSING FUND FOR EXCELLENCE-- You may wish to thank the nurses and other caregivers at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for the compassionate care provided to you or a family member. A gift to the Nursing Fund for Excellence is a great way to say thank you. Gifts to this fund support education, equipment, and other nursing special needs. Simply select the Nursing Fund for Excellence on your Gift Form and note the nurse’s name or unit staff you wish to honor and we’ll send a note informing them that you honored them with a gift to this special fund.

PHYSICIAN FUND FOR EXCELLENCE-- You may wish to thank a special physician who provided exemplary care to you or a family member. Making a gift to the Physician Fund for Excellence supports physicians in their quest to provide outstanding medical care through new technologies and clinical advances. Simply select the Physician Fund for Excellence on your Gift Form and note the physician’s name you wish to honor and we’ll send a note informing them of your gift.
