Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catheterization Labs

St. Elizabeth offers state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs for diagnostic testing and interventional procedures for the treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Electrophysiology is the study of irregularities of heart rhythm or arrhythmias. The St. Elizabeth Health and Vascular Center offers cutting edge device therapy for the treatment of arrhythmias.

A cardiac catheterization is a test to determine if you have coronary artery disease--a build-up of fatty substances in your blood vessels. This painless procedure requires a catheter tube to be guided to the heart through a blood vessel. Blockages in vessels and around the heart can be identified and treated.
