St. Joseph Emergency Medicine Residency

St. Joseph Health Center is part of the Northeastern Ohio Osteopathic Emergency Medicine Residency Program. We provide a residency accredited by the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. Jeffrey Moldovan, D.O. is the Emergency Medicine Residency Director at St. Joseph’s.

St. Elizabeth Health Center, a Level I Trauma Center is closely affiliated with our program and offers a variety of specialized rotations to our residents.

Within the residency consortium, there exists a deep-rooted pride in providing quality clinical and didactic medical education. Being associated with a multi-site consortium provides opportunities to treat a variety of patient populations: elderly, pediatric, rural, urban, medical and traumatic. In addition to the clinical exposure, careful planning and extensive efforts have been made to provide each resident diverse, didactic experiences. The residency offers a weekly lecture series given by resident peers, guest lecturers, and attending physicians. Monthly RPAC seminars, journal clubs, mock oral boards, and written board practicum complete the didactic exposure. The historically supportive physicians at St. Joseph Health Center provide guidance in both didactic and clinical education. Upon completion of the residency, all will be eligible for certification by the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine.

At St. Joseph Health Center, the pride with which medicine and health care is practiced is evident. The same care and respect envelops the teaching process in our residency, providing a stellar training experience in a friendly, respectful environment.

We welcome your call or visit, and at that time, will be able to more fully explain our program, benefit package and orient you to the great facility we have. Please feel free to contact the Medical Education Department, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at (330) 841-4774.
