Hospital Medicine Fellowship
Shaping future leaders in quality health care.
Program Overview: Hospital Medicine is the fastest growing site-defined specialty in the history of medicine. The increasing demand for quality hospitalists has led to a surge of formal training programs to impart skills necessary to effectively practice as a community or academic hospitalist.
Hospitalists often need training in areas that are underemphasized in tradition internal medical residencies, such as quality and systems improvement, palliative care and clinical research.
St. Elizabeth Health Center offers a one year community-based hospital medicine fellowship with focus on advanced clinical training, medical education, analytic and quanitative skills for clinical research, quality improvement, leadership and healthcare business skills. Our goal is to train clinicians to master the process of providing quality in-patient care.
