How would you describe your program?
Primary and Traditional Track programs in a Community hospital atmosphere that allows for more one-on-one resident to trainee interaction and hands on learning experiences (procedures etc.). Our affiliation with nearby tertiary facilities expands our available subspecialty rotations. We are consistently improving on the percentage of our trainees that pass the boards. There is significant opportunity for personal interaction with the Program Director specifically, and the Medical Education Department in general. We provide a broad range of clinical experiences. Our residents pursue their continuity of care requirements in a free standing resident clinic with full preceptor coverage. Our hospital and clinic are located in a well maintained physical structure in an upper middle class residential neighborhood.
Personal Philosophy:
My goal is to maintain an academic and clinical service balance. I have an open door policy. Interns and resident’s opinions and concerns are considered when implementing ongoing improvements in the program.
