Cancer Resource Guide

Learning that you or someone you love has cancer is frightening and can be difficult to manage. The good news is that there is help available to you through the Cancer Resource Guide.

The materials in the resource guide provide resources and information to help you be an involved and active participant in the fight against cancer. In a chronic illness such as cancer, the patient is as much a part of the cure as the medicine they receive. Individuals living with cancer need to make decisions to ensure they receive the most effective treatments.

The goal of our Cancer Resource Guide is to provide you with information that empowers you to cope with cancer. Wherever possible, the information in the guide takes the form of short descriptions, addresses, phone numbers, web sites and other important features of cancer resources.

The guide is dedicated to the patients and professionals who shared their knowledge and insights in the development of the publication - however, it is not meant to be a comprehensive resource. The Mahoning Office of the American Cancer Society, which serves Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, provided funding for the guide.
